Episode 09: “Between Stimulus and Response…There is Space”

 

Each and every day we have the power to decide how we would like to respond to any given situation. While we do not have any control over what has already come into our reality, we do have control over the type of attention we give it.

The next time something in your life triggers you, try to step away from the thoughts that begin to spiral and sit in the space that lies in between the trigger and your external response.

This may be easier said than done, so in this episode, I discuss how we can use meditation to become more familiar with this “space” so that we build our awareness and catch these split second moments to make healthier decisions.
